A Platform For Firefighters, By Firefighters

About Firehouse Flyer sico0

FIREHOUSE FLYER is a verified online community created by firefighters, for firefighters. It provides members access to firefighter-owned vacation rentals, a directory of firefighter-owned businesses, a buy/sell Marketplace, and a private community forum called the DAYROOM where fire families can connect.

At its core, FIREHOUSE FLYER is designed to help firefighters connect directly with one another in a trusted, member-only environment. Verified members can rent vacation properties from fellow firefighters, discover firefighter-owned businesses to support, buy or sell vehicles and items, and participate in the community DAYROOM- a space where firefighters can share knowledge, ask questions, and stay connected off-duty.

From a Kitchen Table to a National Platform
Long before apps and online platforms, firefighters shared opportunities the way they always have — around the firehouse kitchen table. Flyers passed between stations listing rentals, vehicles for sale, side businesses, and helpful resources. Those simple conversations built trust, strengthened friendships, and reinforced the unique bond that exists within the fire service.

FIREHOUSE FLYER is the modern evolution of that tradition — a nationwide platform that carries forward the same spirit of camaraderie and mutual support that has always defined the firehouse.

Where It Began
FIREHOUSE FLYER originally began as a Facebook community created to help fire families connect and support one another. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a trusted group of more than 6,000 firefighters and spouses, with over 200 vacation properties shared within the community. The overwhelming response made it clear that firefighters wanted a dedicated platform built specifically for them — a place where trust, verification, and shared values come first.

Why We Built It
The inspiration for FIREHOUSE FLYER is also deeply personal.
When the five-year-old son of Southern California Fire Captain Chris Mattarollo, and his wife Tina, was diagnosed with leukemia, the support they received from the firefighter community across the country was extraordinary.

“It was truly incredible to experience the love and support of the firefighter community during one of the most difficult times of our lives,” says co-founder Tina Mattarollo. “We wanted to create a platform that reflected that same spirit of generosity and brotherhood.”

FIREHOUSE FLYER was built to capture that spirit — a place where firefighters can help each other, support one another’s businesses, and create new financial opportunities for their families.

Looking Forward
As FIREHOUSE FLYER grows, our mission remains simple: strengthen the fire service community. Beyond connecting firefighters through rentals, businesses, and the Marketplace, we envision a platform that also supports firefighter-focused charities and provides meaningful ways for members to give back to fire families in need.

FIREHOUSE FLYER is more than a platform.
It is a continuation of a tradition built on trust, loyalty, and fire family first!
